Glitchspace is about reprogramming the game to solve puzzles. Trapped in an abstract cyberspace world, your way forward uses visual programming to edit environmental geometry, whilst unlocking key programming concepts along the way. Stretch, scale, rotate, manipulate and create, explore a world of reprogrammable geometry as you discover your way home, ever distant on the horizon.

History

Over two years in the making, early prototypes focused on a programmable gun that could fire out programs into the games world. Serving as the basis for our alpha 1.x versions, Glitchspace made its debut at GDC's Experimental Gameplay Workshop sessions in 2014, subsequently releasing on Steam Early Access in April of that year. Throughout development, our aim with Glitchspace has been to provide players with the ability learn programming concepts through play. Our full release fully realises this vision, empowering players to use coding as a means of discovery and in overcomming their surroundings.
